The Newbie’s Guide to Eucharistic Adoration – Sheboygan Catholic

For my body:

Walk at least 500 miles this year

  • I walked 49 miles in January.

Do two strength workouts each week

  • I did 10 strength workouts in January

Eat 5 fruits and vegetables daily

  • I need to improve on this for February! I averaged only 3 fruit/veggies each day in January

Drink 80 oz of water daily

  • I did not record all of my water intake, so I need to do better at this! I know I drank at least 54 ounces of water each day because I refilled my water bottle at least 3 times each day.

For my spirit:

Recite all 4 mysteries of the rosary each day

  • I prayed all 4 mysteries of the rosary daily for 28 days in January. I did miss 3 days….but….I made sure to get at least one mystery in on those days, so my “pray at least one rosary a day streak” is still going strong. I have been praying at least one rosary a day for the past 6 months (maybe longer but I know I officially started 6 months ago) **St. Padre Pio prayed at least 9 complete rosaries each day, which are 36 mysteries all together (!!)**

Attend at least 5 masses each week

  • I made it to 26 masses this month and made sure to offer each one up for a specific cause.

Make a holy hour at least 5 times each week

  • I made around 20 holy hours this month. I forgot to record all my holy hours for the last two weeks, so I am deducting a couple because I know my husband went for me a couple of times due to conflicts.

Read the entire bible this year

  • I’ve been jumping around in my Bible instead of reading straight through each book, so I think I will find a “read the bible in a year” plan so I can be better accountable.

For my mind:

Read 100 books this year

  1. For the Love of Mary by Fr. Klimek
  2. Joy to the World by Dr. Scott Hahn
  3. Forget not Love (The Passion of Maximillian Kolbe) by Andre Frossard
  4. Brother Andre by Jean Guy Dubuc
  5. Know thyself by Fr. Bergamo

Journal about things I learn each day

I’ve been trying to do a daily examen and log thoughts down in my journal each day.

Work on more embroidery projects

I am currently embroidering an Agnes Dei for Ben. This week in embroidery class, we are teaching the girls to do French knots and started working on bees. All the girls are pretty talented, so they make teaching a breeze.
