Cooler temperatures and warm beverages!
I have recently developed a deep love for chai tea. It’s the only caffeine I allow myself to drink (most days….) and its almost as beloved to me as my one very large, yet very decaffeinated coffee is to my mental health and well-being each day.

A new food that I looovvveeee!
This is not my picture! But I have been loving the combination of bleu cheese, cranberries, and nuts on my salads lately. It is strangely addicting.

My Favorite Saint (currently!)
St. Thérèse of Lisieux — “The Little Flower” is currently my favorite saint. Her Little Way to Heaven is so comforting to me especially now that I have a stronger devotion to God the Father, it all makes perfect sense. Basically God is so very good and loving and wants us with Him for eternity. Period. All He asks in return is our complete love, obedience, and trust. Of course, these three things are almost impossible for man to give to the Father (which He knows….He is God after all!) But in His infinite wisdom and kindness, He loved us so much, that He gave us the Wonderful Holy Spirit and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to make up for our failings. I have always loved that verse, “If God is for us, who can be against us!” That word “who” has always troubled me. Who would even try to defeat God in a battle over me?? Well, I personally can think of two people who try to keep me from God: Satan….and myself. I am my greatest stumbling block. Luckily, God knows this (and pities me!) sending me all kinds of graces and consolations from Heaven to keep me on the Path. He is sooooo very good!
And lastly, most favorite quote (currently) is:
“The gift of Christ’s Body makes everyone a priest; because everyone can offer the Body of Christ on the altar of his own life.” – Caryl Houselander, “The Reed of God”
Sadly, this quote is completely wasted on anyone who does not understand the reality of what happens at each and every Catholic mass. Therefore, I submit possibly the most beautiful image of what it means to look on the Body of Christ and fully realize how much He loved us: Pope Saint John Paul II weeping as he looks on our Lord. I can only think of one other image that comes close to this picture in intensity and that would be Michaelangelo’s Pieta. St. John Paul II, pray for us!!

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but will have eternal life.” John 3:16
